As Fr. Bill has mentioned, we can create a makmdl.cfg file and place it in the same folder where makemdl.exe (or if using middleman/mdlcommander, the renamed makemdl.exe) resides.

Set your paramenters on/off as you want them...

From Fr. Bill.
Copy this to an empty notepad.exe window, and save as MakeMDL.cfg file:

WeldPoints=0   // turns OFF WeldPoints!
Optimize=0  // turns OFF Optimize!

With this in the same folder as MakeMDL.exe all of your options may be set once and then forgotten...

A bit late in the day perhaps, but just as an observation on this for gMax users, as it has just caught me out, if you are using Middleman this makemdl.cfg (mkmdl.cfg) will OVERRIDE any settings you make in Middleman.

I wondered why as I was making changes in MM why they weren't being reflected in the model and forgot I had set a .cfg file up some while ago.

That this is a "sticky post" and not the place to ask a question?  Wink
