You can't export from Mod Tool fo FSX directly, but it may be useful anyway.

Not unless (until?) Micorosoft decides to do the FSn models in the XNA format, OR a way can be found to convert to XNA ... gmax/max....

There was a guy who was writing Softimage -> FSX/TS2 exporter, but with demise of Aces Studio I don't know if he'll ever finish it:

All my models were created in Mod Tool 6 - Lublin, Orlik, and few other planes. I use Gmax for FSX export though.

Mod Tool have obj export feature, and I have .obj import script for Gmax. All I have to do in Gmax is apply materials, make hierarchy and animations.

For now I'm 100% gMAX... if working, why fix it?  Roll Eyes

Softimage has more modelling tools, much better UV editor (including automatic unfolding), there is texture baking feature (limited to 2048x2048 resolution in Mod Tool), it's just more modern 3d software than Gmax.
