Iíve found I canít use AAM 's "Import Table" button if the table I'm importing contain decimals.
It will work if the table's decimal numbers are converted to exponents.

-0.350 gives an error   ("not valid floating point" or something)
-0350e-3 works fine

I'm wondering, has anyone else been able to import tables with decimal numbers.
Itís sort of tedious to convert everything to exponents.
Iíve played with AAMís configuration panel Ė just wasnít able to find a setting that permitted decimal imports.
Am I missing something?

Hereís an example of an importable text file:

BTW, Points:# wonít change the existing number of points in the target table.
If the original table has 7 points and you import 10 points Ė the last three points will get dropped.

It's table 404, Cl vs Alpha.
Left column is angle of attack - right column is coefficient of lift.
The default airfiles seem to have 13 points for this table - but the max is 47 points.

Hi
Have you tried airupdate ? Multimedia File Viewing and Clickable Links are available for Registered Members only!!  You need to Login or Register
I find it much easier to alter add and generally give flightsim a headache Smiley
Not much info on it but basically it dumps the airfile to a txt file for editing then re compiles the text file when you finished mutilating it Wink
Cheers
Wozza

Thanks Wozza, that worked Smiley
It loaded all 26 points just fineÖ.and didnít have to resort to using exponents.

I only asked because my AAM doesn't display the fields in that form and I was confused (a nearly permanent state).  Am I working with an antique?

Maybe - I think you might be using an antique Smiley
AAM V2.2 has an Export/Import Table function - but I think it's only partly working.
Otherwise I think itís excellent.
